John Pryor - Broken In (Free Music, Review) @JohnPryor

^^Widget Above^^

For Fans of: RICH MULLINS, BEBO NORMAN, MITCH MCVICKER, ANDREW PETERSON, DAN FOGELBERG

I would say this would be more for those that enjoy country music... very country feel to each song. Actually, I will give him country/rock ... yeah - thats better

Simple, down to earth spirit driven lyrics - that can get you into what Chris Rice called 'deep simplicity'!

Now for the stand-outs:

"23 (NIV)" - I really like the way he took this psalm, and put his own spin on it. I have heard a lot of them - and think this one actually makes the psalm feel 'new' to me!

"Aslan to Me" - Not often do you hear a song that references C.S. Lewis Narnia series.. He equates himself to many of the characters, or why he wants to be like those characters - really cool what he does here! I may never have realized how much I might want to be 'Lucy' myself!

"There is an Answer" - "as someone with a brain once told me..." hilarious! This song just 'screams' about the hope that is behind the bathroom graffiti(my words, not John's) of our world!

"Just Like You" - "I wanna wear my cape to the grocery store..." loved this line - (reminds me of the video for Paul Horton's "We Win" - see that again here.

"Home Again" - Leans more on the rock side. About being lost, because of ourselves - and the journey to be "Home Again"

Listen - and Enjoy!
