1 Samuel 31
The philistines are fighting and they overtook Saul and his sons. Saul understands that this is the end.. He asked the armorbearer to kill him but he would not.. So Saul fell on his sword
This is a huge difference from what we have seen in the past... Instead of God giving them 'the win'.. They are in the losing section.. Running and fearing
Saul's body is defaced and those that were friends of Isrealites took his body and gage him the burial that was needed
This is an amazing thing they did with the body of Saul
They even fasted 7 days giving him a lamentation... A true showing of respect
What might it take for US to move to action?
John 18
Jesus arrested, and what about when he was crucified.. Did anyone step up to defend him?
Peter? Yes, and yet Christmas calls for him not to do it
Also.. Why did peter go from cutting a man's ear off to the denial of Jesus
The men of jebesh.. Saw something terrible in what was done to Saul.. Really.. What could have done about Christ
What about the Good Samaritan? Today.. Here.. Now..
We need to see these things that are apaling as they are and step up to do something
Is there a moment in your life that you are fleeing or abandoning something that God has given you?
How moved do we need to be to move into action?
