Eric Baker - Hope And Thin Space (Free Music, Review) @midwestbakslidr @Noisetrade

For Fans Of The Killers, Bruce Hornsby, The Elms, Robbie Seay, Pete Yorn

Recorded professionally I am sure - very clear sound.

Rock heavy sound - maybe even alternative in its styling? BUT this is not true in all the songs - there is such a mixture of musical styles, each song having either slight differences or just sounding totally different from the others - and I LOVE IT! And Eric's voice seems to mold to the style of the music so well  - it makes the music and all really come together and good to listen to - not fading away as I listen and losing interest.

Stand Outs:

"Life Is Beautiful" - "looking back I see all the simple truths" that 20/20 hindsight can really be a kicker - depending on what your focus is when you do it, you can look at it and see all the terrible, or you can look and see the true beauty that it contains - the beauty that you can show to another in testimony, that in knowing your trials and hurts - they can get through it too!

"The Chair" is more piano and vocal heavy and not as much 'rock heavy' as I state above - very moving and love the concept of a being in a comfort place looking out on the world - really showing an active prayer life.

"Come and Be Our Peace" - This song is one that seems SO different in genre.  I felt as if it was a Jazz/Rock/Gospel song - it is AWESOME.  What a great way to ask for Christ to Be our peace!

"Tearing This House Down" - breaking down and building up - very cool look into these spiritual battles we face each day!

"Have You Been To The River" - A perfect song to end on - calm and peaceful hymn!

Listen - Enjoy - Download and TIP!!!
