An alternative sound - most of them all begin with an almost spacey ... silky floaty sound - very surreal
They also go from slow to high power rock (still great singing)
A really great all around sound ... you will not get bored listening to these guys!!
If you listen to the album in order .. you hardly even recognize that the song has changed.. it may sound odd out of order, but as a whole this can be pretty cool, especially because the music 'morphs' instead of jumping from one style to another each song (though I like that too)
Stand Outs:
"Wairau Tapu/HS Welcome" - the spacey surreal feel in this is perfect just due to the fact that most of the song is in another language - very beautiful .. even though I had not a clue what was being said ... I knew it was worship .. then they say it in English .. just the progression of this song is awesome!
"Alive" - a very melding sound (great harmony and strong lead vocals! ) Reminded me of Rush of Fools!! (though that may have been the simple lyrics ... Whooaaa :) )
"Garden Outro"& "Signs of Life Pt 2" - Instrumental, sound pretty cool.. have all elements that I have already described.. sound great
