I think we SHOULD see through the weatherman (Blurb, Video)

First of all - it is HILARIOUS that this guy does not even notice that he is see through until 1:20.

And second - is the title of the post...

I think we SHOULD see through the weatherman! From what I can tell - all we need to be able to see is their heads - and maybe their 'pointing' arm. I would even be fine with a floating head and hand. No need for all that other part of the body showing - we are really not utilizing the chroma key functionality to it's fullest potential with the weatherman!

The imperative information that we are wanting from the weatherman is on the screen, not his shirt or tie - so why do we need to see it? I am sure I have already beaten this point to death, but really - I do not think someone out there is watching the weather for fashion pointers?

I mean I did pick The Doctor or ... Doctor Who as my fashion adviser - I just do not think I could rock the bow tie, even if they are cool.

Off track there for a moment, back to the train you paid the ticket for. Oh ... you didn't pay?

The weather report is about the information on the screen BEHIND him. Have you ever often been watching and wanted him or her to move just a bit so you could see what you were interested in. Sometimes it almost looks as if the weatherman is dancing the tango with that screen as much as they need to go back and forth!

The weatherman is in the way - and needs to be clear so we can see the more important information. The same happens at the pulpit. Not that we need to put the preacher man into a green jumpsuit, but that we need them to become clear so we can see the important information behind them: which would be Christ!

John (The Baptist One) understood this when he said:

He must increase, but I must decrease.

John 3:30

John was always talking about how he was just starting the path for the actual Christ that was coming - and showed that to the finish, knowing that as Christ rose in stature he needed to shrink in it. John was understanding of the concept of becoming clear - or see through. When you look at that person that is breaking the bread of the Word of God for you - do you look at all their failures, past mistakes, sins, bad habits, or anything else of negativity? Or do you look past them and see what it is that God is trying to speak to you? I mean not to give a license of creating a lesson learned based only on reading between the lines of a sermon, but instead a non-judgmental approach to hearing the Word of God.

John 5:19
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Jesus understood this - He knew that what He did was God the Father's will! That He was clear - showing those he came into contact with the face and purpose of God Himself! Because of Christ we have a chroma key to use as sinners ...

The Salvation Chroma Key is not green - it is red - when truly covered by the Blood of Christ - we become see through, and Christ shines through - God shines through!!

Placing the Chroma Key on ourselves is easy! (sometimes) We want to be forgiven - so we go to God - ask for forgiveness ... and move on.

The hard part is 'seeing' the Chroma Key on others - it is much like we are looking at ourselves through the camera - and clearly seeing through ourselves, yet when others walk in we move our eyes - and no longer have the filter, seeing all that red! Instead of seeing that as the forgiveness of God we see it as some sort of stop sign and hinder a possible relationship that COULD help us grow more like Christ!

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Revelation 1:5

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

If we could see through the weatherman we could see that information behind them so much clearer - not being distracted by whatever they are wearing...

If we could see through the preacher man we could see Christ in the message and not be distracted by whatever failings that individual may have in his or her life.

If we could see through the common man; we could see forgiveness in all and not be distracted by judgment and closed minded hate.
