Check out last weeks Blurb (link)
I tapped into habit in last weeks post about Elijah and Video games - and I am doing it again this week!
I have an odd habit at work - I wear headphones all day long...
Not really too odd, until I tell you that many, many times there is NO SOUND coming through them.
I am SO used to putting on my headphones (due to my love of music and enjoyment of review writing) that I even put them on when nothing is playing at all! I know... I am crazy... crazy awesome!! HA!
I am sure the title may have made you think I was going to bring up fashion, but to be terribly honest ... I am the very, very last person you should ever go to about fashion... I mean... I wear headphones that are not playing anything... that cannot be fashionable, but it is a habit.
Habit can make you forgetful - often I have lost my mind and then almost lost my head as I try to move away from my desk too far and my head gets pulled back like a slung rock from David's sling! (I have since added an extension to the cord so this does not happen any more)
How many of you have habits that cause you pain?
It is easy to get into one - the one described here by me is silly and on verge of insane, but still it has caused me pain. When you think of your habit - is it something that keeps you right in your walk with God - or does it pull you away?
You may not even know you have a habit - it took me long enough to realize that I was even putting the headphones on for no reason - who is to say that there are not others that I just am not seeing just because I have grown accustom to it!
I have had many times - and know many friends that have described hilarious times when they looked all over for something that they though they had misplaced to finally find it ... on their heads, on the table in front of them, or even in the very hand they were using to look for it!
Knowing this it is easy to see that we can have things that we do - or that we do not do that need to be looked over an examined to help create in us better spirits and attitudes!
There is a good person in you - whether you believe it or not - there is! Ask God to help you find it!

It's funny how I ended up posting about habits myself. I was a bit long winded in my post but I think everything I said needed to be.
