My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I would guess you could look at those five stars and wonder why I would do that.. well .. to be honest.. it is because I was really.. not expecting too much out of this book. I found it at the Dollar Tree and read the inside jacket, understood that somehow this guy had taken Superman, Superman's creator, Cain and Abel and had a story in there somewhere.
That was all I needed to believe that at the very least this could be a bit enjoyable to read. I was wrong. This was an AMAZING READ! It is a mystery for sure.. truly it was like reading a Ted Dekker novel. while yes it is not explicitly a Christian fiction.. it does have some very interesting elements that can get you thinking and wanting to study up some things. As a slight warning - there is some language, but really noting very bad and what is used is reasonable for the situations.
I found that the tale's moral was a great one.. and one that I myself do my best to live by. I really do not want to give anything away, because this book really (I am certain) is at it's best without any expectations ... as well as NO spoilers. Though, as well, I feel that way about most books.
There were a few times that I thought to myself the situations to be a bit odd... but was soon given a decent or.. great explanation for it. I found this well thought out and completely enjoyable!
