^^Widget Above^^

For Fans Of Tenth Avenue North, John Mark McMillan, Phil Wickham, David Crowder, U2

There is only one song in this album Sample.  "Awake, Awake"

A great song about ... Awaking and seeing God around you.  A call for being pure and ready for the wedding that is to come.

It has some great energy to it - and it just has this expansive feel as well that really an energy that the cry is to the world!

It would be a good idea to check out the whole album and here is a link to get it if you like.

Come and Drink

The whole album is a great mix of worship and rock.  Some great beats and some instruments that I did not recognize (that is not really a surprise)

"Come and Drink" - a really awesome clap and stomp part is in this that is really powerful! An interesting thing to note is that the 'water' is there for all to drink from - those that are just in need of the refreshing spiritual newness and the new sinner ready to take the cup for the first time - ready for a life that defis the logical at times!  Come and Drink!!!

"Crash This Place" - (My Favorite) that was different - "Come and Crash This Place With Love" what a line for a song - but OH SO TRUE about Christ!  I know that the coming of Christ into my life really was like a crushing blow - well maybe not actually Christ, but the breaking I went through to see Him there waiting for me to have my eyes opened!  No matter the state I am in - I would welcome a 'crashing' of love in my life - it makes you see things in a clearer, more detailed way ... looking through the eyes of God!

"Come Now" - This really echoes the song above - calling for God to "Come Now Upon Us" ... "Bring Forth Your Rain Into These Dry And Thirsty Bones" Like leprosy we can become spiritually numb and miss out on what keeps us alive and motivated in following Christ - but the beauty is that we can pray this prayer - sing this song - worship our God and be renewed!

"Emmanuel" - This song is slower than the rest.  Acoustic and a great melody!  Very calming and just gets you to that ... just right place in your quiet time!

"Pour Out" - Picks the rock vibe back up here - This song is sort of like "Crash This Place" above, but with a more commonly used term.  Not quite asking for love this time, but Revival - a joining of "Crash This Place" and "Come Now" - interesting to note that God coming down in Love and us going to him for renewal is asked for so often - and the need for revival so wanted in the church body.  We want that HIGH - but we can have it DAILY if we seek HIM in this way daily!

Great music here!  Loved listening and worshiping along with it!!

As well - here is a link to a MUCH better written review of the whole album than I could ever give! http://robrash.us/matthew-reed-come-and-drink-album-review/
