For Fans Of Damien Rice, The Avett Brothers, Aaron Gilespie
An alternative rock sound - also a good folk sound with all the acoustic guitars songs! It was really difficult to grasp what a lot of the songs were about, whether there was a message or not. Usually I am pretty good about this - but ... ah I can be wrong .. :)
Stand Outs:
"Awake" - has an almost Relient K feel to it, which is not in the 'fans of' but it really does have that kind of feel - though not as professionally recorded. It reminded me a lot of a local band here that is no longer together called Jr. Clad. Oddly I think that the demo version vocals are better than the other... though the music is better in the other than in the demo version.
"Bee's Definitely Don't Have Knee's" - Very very different name for a song! lol - I am not exactly sure what the song is about, but I 'think' it is about impressing someone, but then at the 'kneel at your feet' it seems that it could be about God, and that he wants to impress God - or change better for God. "I won't let you see me like this" is an odd line if he is talking to God - though I could agree that I would not want God to see me in my bad states, though He does - and there is nothing I can do about it. Kneeling to Him (God) is the only way to have that change, and I believe heavily in accepting the bad - in order to be able to give it up. Not that we want to be seen that way... no clue as to how the title of this song goes with the song - light being shed on this for me would be wonderful!
"Remember" - (Demo) - Acoustic & Vocal only - rough, but it is a demo so - makes since that it is rough. Sounds like a song about writing songs - about thinking about the past... dealing what is in your past can be difficult, many times I dealt with it by writing poetry, and art (you can see these by clicking the logical links at the top of the blog) so I can understand .. "remember"
