1 Samuel 28

Saul is no longer pursuing David due to the fact that he(david) joined the Philistines

The Philistines are now gathered to fight against Israel and David is with them... Expected to help fight Israelites

Saul has previously put out all sorcery and witchcraft...

The philistines fully believe in the backing of David and Saul sees his situation

Samuel was dead... Saul's fear took hold of him and caused him to want assurance of the out come and what to do about his situation

The Lord would not answer Saul's request..so he goes straight to using a medium that is cast out of the city for advice

Saul goes to this woman in disguise... And asks to speak to Samuel, because he knows Samuel would know what to do

The medium is fearful thinking that is a trap, but does call for the spirit of Samuel.

The reaction of the woman to the spirit would suggest that she never saw anything like this.. God may have allowed this for. The purpose of the beratment of Saul by Samuel

Saul learns that what is happening to him is what was promised to him

Defeat is coming

Saul is brought down by this news and this woman actually makes food for him

The recurring theme of Saul's choices is at an end and he knows it

Where is the hypocrisy in your life?


This is a huge thing that everyone christian deals with

We need to be able to find those people that we can be real. With and be open with our sins.. With our struggling problems
