Noisetrade only has two of the songs available for free download, but Justin contacted me and offered me the full album so I could give a full review, the opinions that I give are my own.
Overall Thoughts:
Alternate Rock feel.. but more of worship themed songs.. Simple themes, but taken in such a way to really. 'brighten' them up.. and this album whole album shines the light of Christ in your life.. and I hope.. many, many lives
Recording Thoughts:
Very Good ... Professional
Thoughts: (Scale 1 to 5 - Five being better than One)
"Intro (For Brighton)" 1 - It sounds good.. though.. it is just an intro to the next song (which I am not 100% understanding of why it is still being done in this day of digital music.. but.. anyway)
"Miracle" 5 - Great start very energetic right at the beginning.. and as the vocals start.. it is just .. rollin.. just smoothly moving into each thing.. one by one.. very flowing.. And as for the message.. who could not be encouraged by the idea that there is a miracle inside of us all.. "The Word of God in Us" .. amen!
"Alive Again" (Available on Noisetrade) 4 - A Rock worship feel, again - very energetic, I can attest to the feeling that this song is really capturing.. that time when you really look in and see that before.. you were dead.. and now.. due to God's amazing working hands has made you "Alive Again"
"The Risen" (Available on Noisetrade) 5 - The title track of the album.. wow.. AMAZING song! Very artistic.. I really liked the 'Hosanna' part.. very cool interjection.. just... a thankful song of God's amazing miracles..
"Mystery" 4 - Majestic feel.. a little slower pace than the others.. really lifting Jesus .. and His 'Mysterious' qualities.. how He died.. How He rose again.. and just that wonderous fact .. that He will come again! The crescendo near the end with the drums was really cool.. an awesome build up..
"Victory" 5 - Really grasps our need for God.. His power that gives us victory.. the desire we should have for His light in our lives.. to be more than we are.. to really gain "Victory" .. it is not quite what many expect.. but it is there.. just step from the darkness to the light! Beautiful Song! "You Believe enough, You Believe In Us" Such is the love and power of God!
"Outro" 2 - After listening to the long before it.. it just flows into this one. .but I feel the same about Outros as I do Intros in the digital world.. it is a great ending to the previous song!
