According to "Earth & Sky," most people can float on quicksand:
"It actually holds you up better than water. If you ever find yourself stuck in quicksand, try not to panic. Try gently falling backward spread-eagled.
"You may eventually have to roll or swim very slowly to solid ground."
In the November 1999 issue of Smithsonian, Barbara Beckwith wrote of hiking up a narrow canyon in southern Utah with her husband, Jon.
While testing the depth of a pool blocking their way, Jon Beckwith sank up to his armpits in quicksand but managed to extricate himself.
"Mystified, I ask how he escaped," Barbara Beckwith wrote. "He says he recalled something he once read in a book: Quicksand takes a couple of seconds to break up.
"Slapping the water for leverage, he began tiptoeing across the quaking surface of the siltbed before it could collapse. In that fashion, not unlike a giraffe pretending to be a member of the corps de ballet, he improvised a crossing to safety."

Your weight is what makes you sink ( so a burden will make you sink faster )
One way to not sink as fast is to get as small as possible ( lay down on it .. that means less weight on more surface points effectively making the weight distribute to not push as hard)
How does one get out of quicksand?? With an outside source or giving up
Give your burdens to Jesus so you dont sink in the quicksand when Satan puts it in your path.
Also. Before you have a large burden you will have a time of lightness.. a time that is easy.. this is a time to get yourself ready for the journey ahead
( USE IT WISELY)
