An album about the Empire of God. The desires and hardships one can face when called to be a builder of the Kingdom of God. Good beats. Nice lyrics. Messages that are not too hard to understand.
Recording Thoughts - Professional 7/10
Intro (4/5) - A HUGE Lord of Rings.. chant .. beautiful music feel here.. wow.. Really awesome. Very ear catching and just set me up for the rest of the album. I almost think it would have been better to leave any actually rapping out of it.. but it was not too bad. A nice intro.
All Hail The King (4/5) - wow... at ... the ... bass... Very impressive rap skills. Interesting how the music itself almost pulls the same "makes me breathless" as it can to get even a glimpse of the scope of God and His majesty. Dropping some clear reasons for the hailing of the King. Amen
Empire (3/5) - Run hard for the Kingdom of God. We get an awesome start into this new "Empire" that is God's.. . Lets do it His way
Who You Know (2/5) - A cool mechanical feel to the music. A chant like song, honestly not too much to it that it struck too much of chord with me.
Babel 1 (3/5) - ohhh silky smooth vocals. Capturing the idea of rising up.. or rising our victories up to try and be greater.. only to find the fall crushing. To see the truth and give it to God. To trust in Him instead.
Kingdom Come (3/5) - I like that old scaly record sound to start or end a song. The vocals to this are not really that appealing to me. A pretty powerful message of being who you are... in the flesh.. in the world, but then losing all. The comparison is to build the kingdom of God instead of our own. It will last much longer... and so will you. I do like the name swaps. Clever
Slow Down (2/5) - Not much to say here.. I was not too fond of this one, and really just did not understand it.
Stranger (4/5) - Great vocals. How different our lives really are from others. We may deal similar things, but they can feel so different and easily they can be drastically different. Great points in this song. Some amazing passion. "Even if you hate me... Im'a love ya" Great violin ending as well.. wow
Last Forever (3/5) - The troubles with working in a Kingdom that most cannot even see. We seem nuts... but we need to push forward anyway.. Forever is the end result so the temporary can't matter so much.
Save Me (2/5) - A cry for salvation? Not too sure on the exact message. Sounds decent. Not quite groundbreaking, but certainly not bad.
Babel 2 (4/5) - We get another take, another view of this. Seeing God as powerful. As one that deserves praise. A call to build HIS KINGDOM, but as well mentioning the battle we face in wanting what we build for ourselves instead of letting it be for God's glory. very impressive and deep.
Fly (4/5) - Great, uplifting message. Well sung... Always nice to be encouraged. "Fix your eyes to the sky... cause we will need to.... fly"
Oceans (5/5) - More of a Pop/techno feel in the music.. This song is calming and just a nice song to sit back and enjoy.
Right By My Side (4/5) - A song about the need for the one at your side. It really can see like God brings us one that we cannot quite make it the way they should without them by our side.
Party People (3/5) - Yeah.. this comes out of nowhere after that song.. Ha! This seems to be just a song of fun and excitement.
Until the End of Time (3/5) - Kind of a Sci Fi song... Recalling the Empire.. and the desire to build what will last forever. Good beat.. good lyrics. Some pretty good points. Work hard to further the kingdom, not yourself.
