'An Epic, No Less'

This is another GREAT showing of what noisetrade.com can offer. 'An Epic, No Less' was so refreshing to me last week. I had not been on noisetrade for a long while (I have been listening to audio books instead), so I got on last week trudging through the many, many new additions - this one stuck out the most! I am so glad to hear music that so blends 'normal christian music' with 'worship music'. This band is an electrica-pop-worship-awesomness blend of awesomeness. Time to pick a few to note on:


'One Word' : This song is good, very good - and then it gets to the part 'If I only had one word' and just explodes with Christ's greatness. To remember that we do not 'need' anything other then our God in heaven, then most 'surly only goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days'. I have often thought and feared the possibility of losing a part of my physical being. I just cannot imagine what it would be like to live without sight, speech, touch, a hand, feet, both hand, or just any other possible loss. I have seen those that were, and seen them overjoyed to be serving God with all they have. With great power comes great responsibility, but with great loss comes my God, who has more power than anything :)


'Echo of Love' : This starts and one may be thinking, did someone drop something somewhere close to a microphone? - it gets better quickly. Just the title of this song 'speaks' volumes. Can we be love? Can we show love? or is it all just an echo of love? Without God we have no love, (i.e. God is Love), so what can we be but an echo of God. Who are we to be anything other than the best we can be for Christ, who showed ultimate love! Everything I do I want it to be an echo of that - to direct others to that wonderful fullness of Love, that is God!

'We Need You' :

'Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na...'

'we need the dawn to push back the night'

'if your hope for the broken, we are shattered glass'

I think one day I need to come up with a trick to start with shattered glass and end with a completed, beautiful work of art - in .025 sec though. I know that in my life I have been shattered, I have lashed out and blamed all things around me for doing it - then I would look up and see Christ; remembering all the decisions I made and turned back to Him, telling Him how desperately I was in need of Him because of my mistakes. So often I have the need to apologize, and I never want to ignore that need. Even without forgiveness, apology is needed - it is just so 'spirit easing' I cannot let a moment go by without doing it. Begin to practice this with those around you, and you will see those things in your life you really do need God for! He will take apology, and true repentance as the glue to make you into a beautiful work of art! He is there for you, for me, for us all.
