For Fans of : David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Jars of Clay
A multiple artist combinational album ... so many different genres (sort of) and for the first note.. I am adding this album to my favorites!! Great stuff here!
Second thing of note is that they had this album put together in the tags for the .mp3s... too often that is NOT THE CASE .. so .. full review for each song with artist name as well!! YEAH!!
All of the recordings are good and professional sounding
"Glorious Journey" by Sam Newcomer - A great folk type song.. very cool acoustic and the vocals are strong and passionate.. loved the song
"Come Thou Fount" by Ariel McFall - A great rendition of this classic Hymn.. She have a very strong voice ... I was pulled into this song from the very start!! Awesome!!
"Yeshua" by Ryan Hawkins - A very soft spoken voice here (it does kind of pick up near the end.. but not really.. I liked it the way it was), but accompanied with the instruments chosen this is perfect.. love this as well! The passion for Christ, and what He has done, in this song is great!
"I'm Speaking Right Now" by Aleq Bateman - This was interesting .. Very different type of vocals - I could really kind of 'feel' the need that the singer had. Certainly passionate.. My thought is that this was from the viewpoint of God .. and the want He has for us to just hear.. see.. know Him.. He is all around us!
"Let Us Fall" by Luke Melton - Knowing God and His power to pull us from our sin and darkness.. yet to call for God to "Let Us Fall" may sound contradictory, but in truth those that know.. understand that falling down before God only gives you power to stand up to the things that will truly make us fall.. great message!
"Fight Your Way To Jesus" by Danika Lukasiewicz - As soon as this song started I knew it would be enjoyable.. Danika has one of those voices.. wow..she does not even really need the instruments to carry her! and the message here is wonderful! Move on fellow Christ Followers - "Fight Your Way To Jesus"
"Make Days" by Kevin Morris - moving more to a bit of an alternative sound ... the vocals are a little too soft for the music here, but the song is good and 'pleasant' .. it is just that the voice kind of 'fades' and I feel as if I have missed some of the message because of it.. A good message though.. to be who we are in Christ.. knowing how we are to be recognized as that.. are you doing it?
"You Complete Me" by Matt Longworth - A full worship song.. in genre and in style. (The vocals are a bit off, though.. not through the entire song.. not sure where I think on this one.. I like it.. but it is not GREAT - the chorus is awesome though!) Being a worship song.. it has a very awesome message! Certainly encouraging!
"Save Our Generation" by Brian Bachman - now a techno/rap song.. really cool sounding. I have reviewed him before here .. This is a song praising and lifting up the miracles of God.. that He can do one for you.. That through HIS power our Generation can become better.. greater than it is
"Psalm 139" by Tyler Moody - A drastic change from the previous song.. singing in a hymn/worship style the 139th Psalm. I love this psalm.. and this is a pretty good rendition of it.. I little high for me, but good nonetheless.
"His Eye Is On The Sparrow" by Jared Odekerken - Another Great Hymn done very very well. I enjoyed the tiny bit of modern style put into this.. The vocals here are very strong - and as well amazing! The piano solos were quite wonderful as well. These two things were paired together very well!
"The Greatest Love" by Jeremy Groves - Acoustic number.. and paired with some vocals made for singing with acoustic numbers.. The message here is one we deal with many times.. we want to do what will make us great, but we chose to run from God.. who, of course, is who can give us what we need to BE great!
"It Is Well" by Melanie Arias - the good old fashion hymn, done in good old fashion hymn style.. very beautiful.. very wonderful.. Strong vocal..
