For Fans of : Yaves, Lecrae, Da T.R.U.T.H
Overall Thoughts:
Christ lifting rap mixes .. fairly standard themes.. some interesting lyrics.. as well as some that seemed a tiny bit cheesy, but not too bad on that front .. I personally like the heart and mind behind these.. I just feel that could be better ..
Recording Thoughts:
Ok ... Amateur (was probably the worst part of this album.. the mix just is not that great)
Stand Outs:
"2 Fly" & "Guilty" and most all on the album.. - The lyrics are actually not too bad, but they could have sounded better.. I feel that the passion is a bit flat. The message is certainly good!
"Come In" - this had an interesting feel to it (autotune?) ..the message was really good.. talking about those in the church being 'fake', but that excuse being hollow in the fact that .. there are 'fakes' everywhere... as well.. without those that are broken and destitute in the Church.. it would be empty!!
"Kingsize" & "Pray So Hard" - maybe the most flowing songs.. I still feel like the lyrics could be brought forth with more passion (my theory is that the recording quality..and mixing may have a bit to do with this.. but I am not certain)
"OmegaMan" - probably some of the most thought provoking and clever lyrics. I really like where he is going in this.. and can see some really awesome potential! I will do my best to keep my eyes open for future releases hoping to hear more passion!
