The Unlikelies - The World Will See (Free Music, Review) #Rock #Worship

^^Widget Above^^

For Fans Of  Chris Tomlin, Skillet, Death Cab for Cutie, Angels and Airwaves, David Crowder

This is some totally awesome rocking music - this will probably be one of my new favorites - Skillet is already in the "for fans of" but I feel strongly that I need to mention them again, because they are one of the BEST christian bands EVER ... these guys "The Unlikelies" really .. actually have a firm grasp on whatever it is that Skillet has a grasp of... I would be willing to say .. perfect music (but not all of the songs on the album really have this going for them - while good ... not 'perfect' - but who is ... right :) ) !!!

Interestingly - the music is certainly rock..close to some pretty hard rock, but it also has an elegant worship aspect to it!

Stand Outs:

"Only By Your Grace" - Soothing, Smoky awesome voice - reminds me of Evanescence .. or a bunch of other strong female vocal rock bands!

"Break Me" - Being broken is either a time to lament your misgivings ... and like I tell my daughter in times of annoyance (when she is whining) "I have an idea - lets whine and see if things are any different".... the other choice is you can begin to start picking up pieces .. God will guide you to know where they go - and in the end .. stained glass - though shattered and mismatched is a beautiful thing with the light of the 'son' through it. :)

"Almighty" - I like how this one feels like so much is going on around you - so much Action occurring.

"Nearer" - Much like a hymn, but done with Gusto - I really like every part of this!!

"You're Still Here" - Much as Psalm 139 talks about where God is.. "You're Still Here" is something that for a relational Christian person, is very comforting - as well as giving of automatic accountability.  Certainly reassuring that God is there.. is Here for us.  This had some really awesome electric guitar solos - and just the ideal being portrayed is wonderful!

"The Unknown" - More of on electronic spacey sci fi feel - very perfect for the thoughts of the song! "The Unknown is Here, What Will You Choose?"  "To Live Your Life, You Have To Lose It" "Can You Give Up On This Delusion" "No You aren't Enough" ... such deep - spirit searching lyrics - very awesome!!

"He Is Risen" - Very Big - Very Powerful - Full of Passion... I really liked how this ended - felt like some raw recording... very ..ummm ... vintage :)
