Come and Live classifies them as worship, and the band may as well - and as they may be, it is not a normal type of worship... much of the songs are from the perspective of God and... while worship is an act of God loving on you.. and you lovin on God... I cannot 'sing' along' with the God parts.. and be worshiping him.. it would feel odd.. I classify them as I did above.. folk rock.. with a dash of worship
Thoughts on Each Song:
"Sheep Amidst The Wolves" - If I had to take a guess .. this song is about Christ.. that among us he was the sheep.. we were the wolves. The concept that Jesus is a lamb or sheep is common, but us being wolves not so much... though very spot on for how we treated him as a whole
"Sacred" - God singing to us.. and seeing God like this can really give perspective to those that are confused.. or confuse them more, I have seen it both ways many times. God sees US with greatness... He LOVED us BEFORE we showed HIM love properly!! God is sacred, but He calls us that as well, in which the song seems to flop and do just that as well! God's relief of us finally showing love to Him as He has so often showed it to us!!
"Waves and Breakers" - This reminds me of the broken and restored trick..
as well as this card trick really..
The trade that we have with God is so .. almost one sided.. we give Him such Junk and He turns it into beauty.. awesome.. that really takes the saying "One man's trash is another man's Treasure"
"Emmaus" - I do not have much to say on this one.. really just a praise to God.. very different for music... (ok .. I had more to say then I thought)
"Apple of My Eye" - How does God see you? ... you may be surprized .. well done and very encouraging for the believer!!
