Where do you get service? (Blurb)

And now another post about my phone...

The pretty much up-to-date list of apps I use and do not use on my phone and why: http://derkopenedeyes.blogspot.com/2011/03/android-apps-i-use-and-why.html

This one has to do with reception - Where do you get reception? Where do you lose reception?

Or the other word for this - Service - .. where do you get that ?

Some interesting places that I do not get 'service':

Evolve Church (formerly... etc. etc.) (Where I used to go to church)
Cloverdale Baptist (where I go for Celebrate Recovery Youth)
Lakewood Christian Centre (where I go to church)
vonGAL (where I work)
Walmart (where I shop for stuff)

The joke here is that more than anywhere I do not get 'service' where I have 'service' .. ha .. ha .. ha.. knee slapper... moving on...

The focus of the non-serviceable areas here is my place of work.. vonGAL.  I am of the thought that it is mainly the make of the building that disrupts my phone's connection to the rest of the world, but let me tell you about some 'miracles'!

Knowing that my phone does not work like it should within the confines of my office - I turn it to vibrate and block it from trying to receive information (fyi that keeps it from draining the battery trying as hard as it can to get service in  a place that is blocking it.. that could preach all in itself).

The amazing thing that has happened to me when.. once in a blue moon I leave it on by accident - the truth you need to understand is that I hardly receive phone calls .. at all - so it is never a big deal for me to turn it off during the day, but when I seem to leave it on by accident ... a call comes through ... a text comes through - something I would have MISSED without the hard work of that tiny device!

The funny thing is that we can 'turn off' our antenna as well - and create 'non-service' places in our lives from God.  We BLOCK Him from coming into contact with those areas.  We create walls - we build that structure in just a way to disrupt the message that He has for us.. but just wait for that moment that you 'forget' to block Him... in that moment.. in that specific time - God will speak to you - He will know the opportunity and HE will take it, but will you do your part?
