I did the best I could at getting the titles of these right.. so just know that I could be wrong .. about much ..
Overall Thoughts:
This is a HUGE mix of things.. Rap, Contemporary, Worship, Country/Rock
it being a 'remixed' album.. I think they have pulled various things from some other.. mainstream songs.. but in the end.. there are some very Christ centered songs.. thankfulness of a life turned .. and the glory given to God
Nothing stood out too greatly to me.. but I took the time to give you a bit of an overview of the genres that this album has
Recording Thoughts:
Pretty Good ... Semi-Professional .. it is a bit spotty through the album.. (Really Good.. and .. just .. ok Good .. nothing bad though)
Details:
"The Maker" - rap.. and a bit rough and heavy at that
"Where They At" - .. more of a whimsical rap.. but rough as well
"Suitcases" - more contemporary genre.. and certainly an encouraging song.. all about getting through hard times.. and understanding 'freedom'
"What If v. 1" - a country folk rock sound
"What If v. 2" - same as above mostly, but with more of a techno feel to it..
"Face To Face" - alternative.. rock sound ..
"Giving It All v. 1 & v. 2" - old style rock feel
'Saved" - alternative.. rock .. more older style though
"With You" - another with more alternative sound .. a lot of drum beat in it..
"Rise Above" - alternative
"Now" - heavy beats.. but flows into more of a worship feel.. well.. kind of.. it is a bit odd at first..
"Did you feel the Mountains Tremble" - interesting take on this.. actually.. very energetic.. more techno feel.. I have not really ever heard this song in this way..
"Out of the Darkness" - alternative .. rock .. another heavy on the beats.. I think the vocals could have mixed better with the music..
"Never Be The Same" - rap.. but the mixed tracks are odd sounding..
"I Feel A Moster" - a techno dance beat.. mixed in with Skillets Monster .. different...
I've Got Something Beautiful" - much like the one above it.. techno.. and mixed with another song..
