Overall Thoughts:
I
still, very much enjoy the acoustic folk sound that they have - Slow
themed.. flowing music .. with such thoughtful and deep meaning lyrics.

Stand Outs:
"A Contemplation on Peace" - A harsh reality of 'peace' .. "But aren't all men made in the same image" ... peace .. should .. be easy.. "Use these flawed vessels" ... can we look past all the issues and problems.. and really have peace?
"The Lark" - A really cool sound.. old time rock and roll feel..
"Under The Sun" - A Funky Fun Sound! A look at life in the perspective of Ecclesiastes.. and as well.. the carefree and happy tone.. just takes the idea that no matter the 'beat down' we may take from not doing anything 'NEW' "Under The Sun" we can still move forward and DO in the world.. We can find inspiration.. and enjoy .. life

Stand Outs:
"Repairs" - The difference in the pre-released version and the new one here .. is actually quite large recording wise.. such a more full and clear sound .. and my thoughts on the message have not changed .. so those HERE : http://derkopenedeyes.blogspot.com/2012/02/matt-wheeler-vintage-heart-repairs-free.html
"Paperthin" - The flighty .. bird feeling of the music was interesting.. reminding me .. something akin to Peter and the Wolf.. I am not certain if I fully grasped the message.. for one.. if one is 'like mercury' .. they could 'leak' through defenses.. unless it was two separate analogies.. ohh.. yes.. maybe so..
"Avalanche" - I Talked about this one before .. (it was live last time) see my thoughts on it's message HERE: http://derkopenedeyes.blogspot.com/2011/06/matt-wheeler-veritas-4-albums-free.html .. I found that this recording of the song is wonderful.. much better than in the past.. though I still really enjoyed that 'live' feel from before.
