Christmas Stories You've Never Heard: Like How Baby Jesus Had A Cone Head And Stuff by Sammy Adebiyi

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Certainly a good one time sit down read. He gives a nice tongue in cheek look at the Christmas story, well at the Gospel in general. I personally followed his blog for a while and enjoy his writing when I get a chance to catch up. This book is a little oven 80 pages so it won't break your time. He makes his points well and even had me laughing a good few times throughout. The way he writes breaks through barriers, leaving interesting openings to the inner part of the reader. As you end each chapter and face the questions, you really do want to know what your truthful answer is.

I think one of the most important points made was about how the story of Jesus is boring. I don't want to take away from how he reveals this as I found the unwrapping of this was quite clever and as well needed for our generation. I can't see anyone not having the small time it takes to read though this. Also... it is free on Amazon at this time .. so hop on it!

Why not five stars? - This is not a masterpiece and nor is it something that breaks the barriers of spirituality. While it did not completely blow my mind, it is a beautiful reminder of the wonderful miracle that Jesus is.
