This was good.. don't get me wrong. There were some really cool and intriguing moments. I think what turned me off, was Smith's character. He was great when we saw him from the point of view from others, but from his own. He was uncaring and a bit cold. I didn't like that. It turned me away from the story.
It was so much like Doctor Who that seeing a "Doctor" like that just threw me off. I would have expected a more clever ending for the "monster".
